We typically admit 1 to 3 new PhD students annually. Due to the high volume of inquiries, it is not always possible to respond to individual questions. If you are interested in our research, please apply online. The application process is detailed below.
PhD positions are usually funded, covering UK tuition fees and providing a tax-free stipend. Note that the difference between UK and international tuition fees is significant (approximately £75k over a 3-year PhD). Applications can be submitted through the Department’s Research Opportunities website via the ‘Apply?’ tab on the right-hand side of the page.
